Exeter Chiefs have added depth to their front row with the signing of prop Ethan Burger at the outset of the 2024/25 season.

The young prop joins from university side Tuks Rugby in South Africa. Spotted by the Chiefs coaches for his potential, he will be a new addition to the Chiefs scrum under the guidance of Rob Hunter and Ross McMillan.

Coen signs first contract

Exeter Chiefs and Ben Coen have put pen to paper on the young fly half’s first contract ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Coen was one of four Chiefs Academy players who recently won the World Rugby U20 Championship with England U20 alongside Chiefs senior coach Haydn Thomas.

Successful Trial Secures a Chiefs Contract for Moloney

Exeter Chiefs have recruited back row Martin Moloney just ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Moloney officially becomes a Chief having spent the majority of pre-season on trial in Devon from URC giants, Leinster Rugby.

The Kildare-born forward leaves the Irish province after 11 appearances for the senior squad having debuted against rivals Munster Rugby in April 2021.

Club debuts await eight new Exeter Chiefs Women

Eight new players will run out for Exeter Chiefs Women when they travel to Hartpury University Stadium to take on Gloucester-Hartpury on Sunday.

In the first of two pre-season PWR Up Series friendlies for every league club, Chiefs will kick-off at 14:00 against the reigning PWR champions before turning their attention to Bristol Bears at Sandy Park the following Sunday.

Exeter Chiefs have named their side to face Welsh URC side, Ospreys, at Sandy Park on Saturday afternoon as the 2024/25 Cup Kit is due to be launched on gameday.

Rob Baxter has named his side for the second weekend of pre-season friendlies ahead of the new Gallagher Premiership season.

Exeter Chiefs have signed loosehead prop Kwenzo Blose to add depth to the forward pack ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The nimble front rower, who is a former South African Under 20, moves to the Northern Hemisphere from United Rugby Championship side, DHL Stormers.

Exeter Chiefs have added powerful centre and former Junior All Black, Tamati Tua to their ranks ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Exeter Chiefs and Wales lock Dafydd Jenkins will miss the beginning of the 2024/25 season following surgery on his knee and shoulder.

Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter gave an update on the injuries and the possible recovery period for his first team captain.
