Young philanthropist Izzy Rutter, an 11-year-old from Exeter, recently accomplished an impressive 20-mile charity walk to raise money for InFocus Charity, based in Exeter.

InFocus Charity is dedicated to supporting young individuals with vision impairment and complex needs.

On 16th September 2023, Izzy embarked on her challenging journey, covering a 20-mile route from Exeter to Dawlish Warren and back, all in pursuit of her New Year resolution to raise £100 for a local charity.

East Devon’s MP Simon Jupp visited Exeter City Football Club’s Cliff Hill Training Ground to tour their new multi-million-pound building.

Visiting the club’s training ground on Sidmouth Road, Simon Jupp MP had the opportunity to look at the new two-storey building, which includes a fitness suite, briefing rooms, physiotherapy facilities, and office space. Exeter Community Initiatives charity shop raises record-breaking £2K selling Exeter City footie kit!

Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI), which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has raised over £2,000 selling Exeter City Football Club (ECFC) replica kits from last season.

The money was raised during a special event at ECI’s Jelly children’s charity shop on Fore Street, which also saw Exeter City football players Vince Harper, Vin Sinisalo, Ilmari Niskanen, Manager, Gary Caldwell and joint Managers of ECFC Women, Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley, meet and greet customers.

South West-based ultra-fast broadband provider Jurassic Fibre is unveiling its most spectacular marquee yet at the Devon County Show (Thursday May 18th to Saturday 20th) this year.

Exeter recycling scheme reaches major £10k milestone

Exeter City Football Club (ECFC) and Exeter City Council’s innovative recycling scheme, Cans4City, has reached a major milestone.

The scheme, which encourages Exeter football fans to recycle used drink cans whilst also raising money for charity, has now raised more than £10,000 with all funds raised going towards projects and initiatives run both by the football club and its partner charity Exeter City Community Trust (ECCT).
