Winners of this year’s Tech South West Awards have been revealed at a live ceremony at the new multi-million pound Market Hall and Immersive Dome venue in Plymouth.

Local success story Meat 59, an independent multi-site burger restaurant, will open its doors in Princesshay on Thursday 2nd December. Located next to Lucciano’s, the restaurant specialises in meat and produce from Devon and the surrounding areas and will have capacity for plenty of diners.

Nominate a charity to receive a festive financial boost

Nominate a charity to receive a festive financial boost Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical is giving £120,000 to good causes as part of its annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign.

Now into its fifth year, Ecclesiastical is once again inviting Devon residents to nominate a registered charity close to their hearts to benefit from this festive financial boost.

Following last year's success, Mecca Bingo Exeter is launching its second unique Everyone Deserves a Christmas appeal to help individuals and families in need this Christmas.

Mecca's renowned UK-wide Christmas appeal involves all 71 clubs across the country and aims to provide hampers to those most in need, allowing them to go through the Christmas season more comfortably. UGLE achieves Investors in People silver status

The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) is delighted to announce it has been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) silver accreditation. The IIP is a standard-setting body for people management and UGLE was first awarded the IIP standard accreditation in November 2018. The new accreditation runs for a further three years. Children and adults with learning disabilities, as well as their family members or paid supporters are eligible to receive a free flu vaccine this winter.

Preventing flu is particularly important for people with learning disabilities. It can lead to pneumonia and sepsis, which many people with a learning disability are much more vulnerable to than the general population.

The Exeter Christmas pop-up shop is back: Help raise vital funds for charity this Christmas

Cards for Good Causes, the charity Christmas card and gift retailer, had opened its doors in Exeter. The pop-up shop is in St. Martin's Church and is open Monday to Saturday 10am-4pm.

The not-for-profit organisation always has a huge selection of charity Christmas cards and seasonal gifts with proceeds donated back to local and national charities. In the last 10 years alone, they have raised over £40 million for charity and last year, the Exeter community raised an incredible £10,400 with the sale of charity cards and gifts in the pop-up shop.
