Exeter Cathedral School and their catering partners, Thomas Franks, are providing breakfast to their neighbour and local charity, St Petrock’s.

Supporting the Thomas Franks Feeding Communities initiative, which aims to help eradicate food poverty, chef Adrian Kirby and the team at ECS have volunteered to provide 100 breakfasts a week.

Working in the ECS kitchens, the team prepare the hot breakfasts including all your usual favourites: bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns! They then deliver them across the Cathedral Green to St Petrock’s.

Children at Broadhembury Church of England Primary School in Honiton welcomed the team from the local Amazon delivery station in Exeter to celebrate a new funding partnership for their Magic Breakfast club. Thanks to a great suggestion from one of the previous attendees, we came up with the idea of a regular networking event/update from Alastair for everyone that had been to all the previous events. This allows fellow directors to meet other business owners. RGB Building Supplies raised £2,150 for Children’s Hospice South West during its charity breakfast morning on Friday 3rd November.

The event saw visitors to RGB’s Exeter branch make a donation in return for a bacon roll with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the charity.

Paul West, Branch Manager at RGB Exeter, commented: “Our charity events are always extremely well supported, so a big thank you to all our customers who supported the fundraising breakfast morning and helped us raise such a fantastic amount of money.”

Supporters are coming from far and wide to take part in Hospiscare’s Breakfast Run at the picturesque Knightshayes near Tiverton on the 17th September.

Sarah Awbery and her daughter are travelling all the way from Bournemouth to take part and are currently busy training and raising sponsorship. They have a special reason for supporting local charity, Hospiscare.

Although it has been over six years since Sarah’s father, Ray Pett, was cared for by Hospiscare, her memories of visiting him on the ward at Searle House in Exeter are still fresh.
