Digital Video Focus for Social Media Cafe
Creating video is the key theme for the March meeting of the Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe.
The social media cafe is being held on Monday 23 March at The Langstone Cliff Hotel from 5-7.30pm.
Nick Elliston of Socialize Media and Highrize Productions will be showing businesses and local community groups how they can use video to drive sales and engage volunteers.
“A few years ago shooting video was an expensive process but with new smartphones and cameras most people can tackle small video, “ says Nick. “There is still a need for a professional promotional video but there are lots of other ways to create and use video which can be done by everyone.”
People are being encouraged to bring along smartphones and cameras so they can have a go at creating content live with help from the cafe experts. Nick will also be talking tech and explaining what people need to get a good quality result in their own video.
Cafe founder Mandy Pearse from Seashell Communications says: “2015 is tipped to be the year video becomes the must have item on social channels. Already this year both Facebook and Twitter have introduced direct video uploads and micro video through applications such as Vine and Instagram is huge.”
