Saturday 17th Oct 2015
Friday 23rd Oct 2015

This Level 2 Award is certificated by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and successful candidates will be able to:

- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assess an incident
- Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
- Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Manage a casualty with external bleeding
- Manage a casualty who is in shock
- Manage a casualty with a minor injury

The course takes 1 day (9am - 5pm) to complete, at a cost of £65 per person and the certificate is valid for 3 years. For 5 or more learners we are currently reducing the fee to only £55 per person.
We also offer a 3 day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work for £295 and an Annual Refresher for £35 for those who are already qualified. All prices are inclusive of VAT and we also consider coming to you if you book 5 or more and have suitable accommodation.
Why is this training important? The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 place a general duty on employers to provide first-aid treatment to employees within the workplace environment. The employer has overall responsibility for the risk assessment (assessment of first-aid need) that will establish the level of first-aid cover required. If, having assessed first-aid needs, an employer decides to appoint first aiders, the first aiders must have a valid certificate of competence.
