A Christmas party atmosphere is promised for the Exeter Christmas lights switch-on.

Television and radio presenter Toby Anstis will be presenting the event and there will be performances by the Military Wives Choir and star of ITV’s The Voice Adam Isaac.

Exeter’s own celebrity chef, Michael Caines, will turn the lights on, accompanied by two ladies from the Military Wives Choir who will be escorted by the Lord Mayor Rob Newby and of course Santa Claus who will be making a special appearance.

The evening’s activities will kick off at 4.30pm and will include performances from the Exeter University Jazz Orchestra, Exeter University Soul Inspirational Choir, local schools and excerpts from City Pantomimes. There will also be performances on top of a vintage bus supplied by Arrowscore.
