Apple Day
On 5 October, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Garden Rosemoor in Devon will be holding its very own Apple Day, in celebration of the bountiful harvest expected this year at the garden and around the country.
The Rosemoor Apple Day, now in its 20th year, makes for a fun day out for all the family with amazing apple displays, apple pressing and cookery demonstrations, guided walks, children’s activities and plenty of opportunities to taste and buy local apple cultivars, cider and juice from a special apple-themed food market.
Live cookery demonstrations will share exciting and unusual apple and cider recipes, and RHS experts will be on hand to offer advice and identify apples brought in by visitors.
Chris Groves from the National Trust garden at Cotehele will give an illustrated talk on training apples trees and will acquaint you with espaliers, cordons and stepovers, so you can get the most out of the space you have.
For more information please visit www.rhs.org.uk/rosemoorwhatson or phone 01805 626800.
Normal garden admission applies.
Supported by Mr Fothergill’s Seeds, Rosemoor Apple Day is in its 20th year and makes for a fun day out for all the family.
