The Devon National at Exeter Racecourse
Imagine running a marathon. The Devon National at Exeter Racecourse is the equine equivalent, and on Tuesday, March 4 some of the region’s best loved horses will set out on a steady gallop for nearly four miles with the eventual winner adding their name to the prestigious trophy.
Racegoers can take advantage of a fantastic 25% discount on the normal price of a three course meal in the Desert Orchid Restaurant, which includes a table for the day with panoramic views over the course, entrance, car parking and a racecard. This is available for just £51.75, or £55.50 if you’d like to reserve a window table. Tables can be booked for between two and 12 guests. Early booking is advised due to the popularity of the offer. Call 01392 832599 to book.
The first race is off at 2pm. Tickets cost from £13 if booked in advance, with Grandstand and Paddock tickets available from just £10 each for groups of ten or more.
A free bus to the racecourse leaves Exeter St Davids at 12.30pm and Exeter Bus and Coach Station at 12.45pm and returns 30 minutes after the last race.
