At long last, Exeter's first ever tattoo and piercing convention is to be held at The Phoenix in Exeter on Sunday April 26th 2015.

The event Twisted Ink is primarily a tattoo convention and the twist is that the program will be include live music and a range of entertainments, even the opportunity to have a go at tattooing on fake skin!

The aims are to promote and showcase the UK tattoo industry, as well as hopefully maintaining or change people’s perceptions of body art, while at the same time providing attendees with a memorable experience, this will be the first tattooing convention to be held in Exeter, and not before time, London, Western-Super-Mare, and Reading have for the past three years held successful events.

Included in the event will be live bands, tattoo school (learn and demonstrate your skills) street artists, a catwalk displaying body art, in addition food and beverages will be available within the venue, local bands and DJ's and headline act 'I Divide', and a special appearance form The Modified Dolls.

What people need to do to get involved/buy tickets.

The 'Twisted ink' event will be held on Sunday 26th April 2015 and will open from 1pm-6pm and 7-11pm.

The costs of tickets are £5.00 each, either the pm or evening sessions, or if you prefer you can purchase an all-day ticket for £9.00. All tickets for this unique event can be purchased through the booking office at The Phoenix in Exeter or online at www.exeterphoenix.org.uk

Lead organiser for the event Kerry Godley-McAvoy said: "The successful events held elsewhere in the UK, have been extremely successful, feedback from these events have indicated that although people do not have tattoos and piercing themselves, they have enjoyed the events and on occasions made them look at tattoos in a completely different way!"
