'A Celebration of Books' featuring books and cupcakes from the Exeter Authors Association
Exeter Authors Association is holding a book celebration as part of CredFest17 on 17th June from 2-5pm at Crediton Library.
This will be a highly interactive, free event to celebrate writing in Devon.
There is room for only 80 visitors in the venue, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The Performances- There will be readings from books/ poems. Local published poets and authors will be reading in 10-minute slots. The authors and poets include some of the best south-west writing talents such as
- Samantics Poetry from one of the South West's great performance poets.
- Trina J, Stacey Simply Inspirational Poetry
- Brian Willis Readings from his Gothic writing
- Mark Norman Reading from 'Black Dog'
- Tracey Norman Reading from 'Dark Words' her Lovecraftian short story set on Dartmoor.
- Sam Burns
- P.J. Reed Reading her surrealist interpretations of life poetry
- Richard Dee Readings from his latest Scifi novel 'Myra'
- J.T. Scott Reading from her Sammy Rambles books
- Circle of Spears A sample of their play
- Jeni Braund Reading from her collection 'Poetry Heartlands'.
The Workshops- There will be a series of workshops running alongside the performances including-
P.J. Reed - How To Catch A Publisher
Circle of Spears - The importance of audio books
Richard Dee - How to create your very own fantasy worlds
Trina Stacey - Writing from the Heart
Jeni Braund - Poetry for Anthony Nolan
J.T. Scott - Introducing Sammy Rambles
Tables- There will be an opportunity to meet and greet the authors during the set activities.
