Damon Hill Golf Classic and Michael Caines Gala Dinner
Former F1 Champion, Damon Hill OBE and Michael Caines MBE, are teaming up to host a day of golf, followed by a gala four-course dinner and charity auction.
It will be held at Exeter Golf and Country Club – winners at the England Golf Awards earlier this year - on Friday 4 October, with proceeds split between two charities; Down Syndrome International and the Down’s Syndrome Association.
Damon, who has a son with Down’s syndrome, and Michael, are both patrons of the charities, who support people with Down’s syndrome, as well as their families, carers and professionals, throughout the world. The day will consist of 18 holes of golf with competitions on the beautiful Exeter course, followed a Salcombe Gin drinks reception.
A four-course dinner created by one of the UK’s most acclaimed chefs, Michael Caines MBE, and Exeter Golf and Country Club’s head chef, Adam Little, will then be served. Wines will be perfectly paired with each course, before a golf prize presentation, auction and raffle, all rounded off with live music.
