Devon Guild of Craftsmen in partnership with Dartington Hall presents Home Ground Symposium – Using Craft to Create a Sense of Place
5th November 2014 - 9.30am – 4.30pm at SPACE
, Dartington Hall,
Totnes, Devon UK
TQ9 6EN

‘Home Ground’ is a unique collaboration between craftspeople, Football Clubs, industry and heritage organisations across the UK to celebrate the work of contemporary makers whose practice reflects local distinctiveness and a sense of place. This concept takes its direction from Common Ground, a charity that champions democratic involvement and engages the public by using the arts, and artists, to address issues of landscape, nature, history and locality and how to value, preserve and enhance the places in which we dwell and work.

Join us to explore and discuss issues around local distinctiveness, explore themes of locality and how crafts practice is used to create a sense of place.

To book symposium tickets please contact the Dartington Box Office: 01803 847070, Open daily 12.30 – 7.30pm or book on-line: www.dartington.org
