Josie Long: Romance and Adventures
Award-winning comedienne Josie Long is bringing her new show, Romance And Adventure, to Exeter Phoenix this winter.
Romance And Adventure is Josie Long‘s sixth solo show. She’s going to try and make it her best. It’s going to be silly and fun. And she promises to swear less this time.
Josie Long began performing at the age of 14 and by 17 was already claiming her first BBC Comedy Award.
After finishing Oxford University, she returned to performing, notably at the Edinburgh Fringe, where she carried on winning awards for Kindness and Exuberance (Best Newcomer) and later in 2007/8 for Trying Is Good.
Her last tour, Be Honourable, was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
On TV, she’s appeared in Skins (which she also writes for), Never Mind The Buzzcocks, You Have Been Watching, The Bubble, and Big Brother’s Big Mouth.
Described by The Telegraph as ‘one of the most exciting female comics around’, Josie’s humour is warm, optimistic and endearing, filled with rambling daft tales and all the things she likes in the world and which cheer her up.
Josie Long hits Exeter Phoenix on December 13, 2012. Tickets are on sale now.
