The Moo Man is coming to the Chagford Film Festival 2013
On Thursday 26 September, the film “The Moo Man” nominated and shown at the prestigious 2013 Sundance Film Festival is being shown at the third Chagford Film Festival on Dartmoor.
Farmer Stephen Hook will be there on the night, along with the film’s Director (Andy Heathcote) and producer (Heike Bachelier).
The remarkable story of a maverick farmer and his cows, beautifully filmed over four years on the Pevensey Levels in Sussex.
In an attempt to save his family farm, Stephen Hook decides to turn his back on the cost cutting dairies and supermarkets and instead stay small and keep his close relationship with the herd. The Film shows his innovative and humorous marketing efforts and how he sells his “raw milk” to local customers .The result is a laugh-out-loud, emotional roller coaster of a journey.
"Heartwarming, a tearjerker of a movie about the incredible bonds between man, animal and countryside".
The event is part of the Chagford Film Festival and is being sponsored by The Cheese Shed www.thecheeseshed.com and Best Cellars www.bestcellars.co.uk/
The evening will start with a “Tasting” of a delicious range of artisan cheeses complemented by an interesting selection of wines, all provided by the sponsors.
