A fabulous opportunity to see the wonderful private garden at Houndspool in Ashcombe, EX7 0QP by kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Bourne in aid of the British Red Cross.

The garden will be open to visitors between 2pm and 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday, 7 May 2018.

Come and enjoy the beautifully well established, landscaped garden with wide range of planting by expert hands-on gardeners (Edward and Carolyn).  The house and gardens have been owned and tended by the family for over 80 years.

The garden has been developed, as a pleasure resource,  over the past 40 years, having formerly grown fruit and vegetables for the war effort, and then continuing as a market garden.  Today the nursery remains an international commercial horticulture business.

The grounds cover some 40 acres, parts of which are very steep, but have lovely views of the Exe estuary.

Lots of unusual and different species to interest and inspire you

Admission: £5 adults, £2 children under 16.

Plenty of free parking, cream teas and cakes to purchase.  Dogs on leads are most welcome.

Please note: Access is moderate for wheelchairs and buggies – there are gravelled and grass paths which are pretty much on the level.  Probably easier if the wheelchair is motorised
