Dr John D Mather, Emeritus Professor of Geology, University of London, will explain what is in bottled water and how it varies.

Most bottled water is groundwater whose composition results from the interaction of rainwater and the rocks through which it flows.

The talk will show how you can interpret the analyses provided on bottle labels and encourage you to become a more discerning water consumer.

It will also look at the packaging used to persuade you to buy a particular brand.

Tickets £3 available online or from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
