A tale of desperation, betrayal and darts!

Step up to the oche and bit the bulls eye! Substance & Shadow Theatre return this summer with a new, original work, Silver and Gould, taking audiences back to the decade where Sunday tea time wasn't the same without a 'bit of Bully'!

This fast paced comedy follows the fortunes (or misfortunes) of mismatched cousins, Leonard (Len) Silver and Melvyn Gould, who are reunited after the sudden death of Len's mum, Elsie. Left out of his mum's will and forced to spend cold nights in his Rover; Len finds that desperate times call for desperate measures.

Over a game of arrows at the wake, Len realises that Melvyn is something of a 'hot-shot' and hatches a plan to get them on classic TV gameshow, Bullseye. Fame and fortune could be Len's if he convince Melvyn to take him on the show as the brains of the operation. However, Melvyn has plans of his own for wooing the local barmaid, Shirley.

After some careful 'persuastion' the dream team of Silver and Gould get their chance on TV but can they hit the bulls eye and scoop the star prize or will the check out with just BFH - their bus fare home? Everything hangs on the throw of a dart...
