Spirit of Place - your reflections of Killerton Estate

As a community development organisation we appreciate how a unique sense of place is important to each of Devon’s communities and so we are pleased to be supporting the National Trust to discover what makes the Killerton Estate a special place.

‘Spirit of Place’ captures in a few words what makes the Estate unique, distinctive and cherished by the people who know it well. It is about what makes the place ‘special’ to each one of us
and how it makes us feel.

With over 6,000 acres, the House and the village of Broadclyst, where is the spirit most evident? Is it a spirit in time, the people, the livestock, the landscape, special places, events or memories?

We are asking everyone with any connection with Killerton to help us to define this Spirit of Place.

Share your thoughts with us.

Send all responses via email to spiritofkillerton@nationaltrust.org.uk

Or write to Spirit of Killerton, Killerton House, Broadclyst, Exeter, EX5 3LE no later than 5pm on 26 June.

Come along to our open evening on Friday 19th June at the Victory Hall, Broadclyst from 7pm, where, with the staff from Killerton, we will be further exploring that special ‘Spirit’ and collecting your reflections.
