Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a little retail therapy at one of the south west’s most established contemporary craft markets. Unique Boutique returns to the warm belly of Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 23 November, bringing you handmade gifts and treasures made by folk based right here in Devon. Unique Boutique will showcase work for just one day across the ground floor of Exeter Phoenix from 10-4.30pm.

For a good few years now people have been aware of the environmental benefits of purchasing direct from the maker, and for 10 years Unique Boutique has been able to support this. Unique Boutique offers a place for people to come together to admire, to network and to shop in a lighter way. Many makers use recycled and sustainable produced materials, package in corn starch and repurpose forgotten and unloved items, bringing beauty back to something that might otherwise end up in landfill. The other huge beneficiary is the air we breathe: the carbon footprint of your purchases is tiny. Buying direct from the maker you are actively supporting new businesses, cottage industries and self employment, which is hugely empowering. As a thank you for your support, and to celebrate our 10th birthday, Unique Boutique will have a few little treats in store throughout the day.

With a host of new makers and many established ones returning, come and explore the quirky, the comical, the bizarre and the beautiful at our handmade market. From stocking fillers to glittering one off pieces that elusive gift might just well be here waiting for you.
