The Vikings are coming!
Come to Exeter Cathedral to see how your ancestors lived 1,000 years ago; see the Saxon inhabitants battle the Viking aggressors (if you’re under 10 you can even take a stand against the Norse bullies)! See how they lived; smell how they lived.
For on Saturday 17th of August the cries of Odin will ring out over the heart of ancient Exanceaster once again.
Meet Woden’s raven and their friendly wolves, maybe even mint your own coin, before visiting the Cathedral for a rare chance to see The Exeter Book, the largest known collection of Old English literature that exists.
11am-3pm.
