An Artistic Festive Treat in Cafe at 36
The Cafe at 36 located in Cowick Street, St Thomas, Exeter is hosting a pop-up art gallery which has been coordinated by Devon Art Pop - a group of artists collaborating to run pop-up galleries around Devon. All of the original and authentic art work is for sale, and 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Arctic Challenge fund currently being raised by Sue and John, owners of the Cafe, in support of Age UK Exeter.
The line up of exhibiting artists includes:
Sue Lewis - textile artist with gorgeous seascapes and floral pictures
Theresa Shaw - floral and abstract artist with colourful and bright impact pieces
Rob Walker- watercolourist with delicate and wonderfully observed rural images
Alan Prince - sculptor with clever, quirky and amusing up cycled cutlery pieces
Emily Clark- Painter of colourful abstracted landscapes and noted wildlife photographer
Cameron Shaw - photographer with a talent for finding light and colour
Jill Griffin - watercolourist with eclectic style of both sensitive and bold works.
This is the second Devon Art Pop pop-up gallery held this year and the first to be held in Exeter following a hugely successful and high profile inaugural event at Kelly House, Tavistock in September. Devon Art Pop was inspired by Tweeters Devonhour and all the collaborators including the generous hosts met via this network.
The perfect venue to come and enjoy a coffee and cake, breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea. Background music, artwork, free wifi and friendly atmosphere.
