Families Exhibition at Topsham Museum

Topsham Museum holds over 80 family trees kindly donated by members, visitors and local residents and the first exhibition of the 2013 season will explore some of the many families with Topsham connections, show archive photographs and memories of their lives.

A seminar is taking place for those wishing to begin researching their family history and also some help sessions for more experienced researchers:

Family History - how do I start? with Mike Mayo (DFHS) - a seminar at the museum on Tuesday 16 April, 5.30pm, £7.50 per person, including tea and cake.

Individual help sessions with Mike Mayo for family historians who have "hit a brick wall" by appointment only on  Wednesday 24 April between 1pm and 6.30pm and Wednesday 1 May between 10.30am and 4pm. £5 per session including refreshments.

Topsham Cemetery Walks with Mike Patrick on 7 May and 14 May. Places must be booked in advance as numbers are limited.  £2 donation per person.

All events must be booked in advance. Priority will be given to Museum Members. Booking forms can be downloaded from the Topsham Museum website: www.devonmuseums.net/Topsham-Museum/Devon-Museums/

Online genealogical research facilities will be available to museum members (by appointment only).

Admission: During the 2013 season, the museum will be open in the afternoons on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, (plus Tuesdays in August), 2pm-5pm until 31 October.
Last admission 4.30pm. Admission free.
