Life After Brain Injury
An exhibition by Headway Devon
Pictures in a range of mediums by clients of Headway Devon that illustrate an individual’s journey following brain injury. This insightful exhibition shows the reality of life after brain injury, and reveals both surprising positives as well as the darker side of learning to cope after such trauma.
Headway Devon
Headway Devon has over 17 years of experience in supporting people with brain injury. The people they work with are from all walks of life, but all have survived life changing illnesses and accidents, from head injuries in car accidents or assaults to meningitis, brain tumour and stroke. Their stories of survival are inspirational, but all have been left facing life-long disability as a result of the damage that this has done to the brain and many experience a complex mix of physical, thinking, learning and emotional difficulties.
