With a fresh six piece and 3 albums, Mad Dog Mcrea blend a unique mixture of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and ‘shake your ass’ music. From self-penned songs of adventure, drinking, love and life to traditional songs of gypsies, fairies, legless pirates and black flies, Mad Dog never fail to capture their audience with their infectious songs. The band have just returned from their first major UK tour spreading the Mad Dog word across the country, and what a tour it was, over 3000 tickets sold from The Isle of Sky to Lands End! With their acclaimed recent album The Whirling Dervish and plays by Mike Harding on Radio 2, Mad Dog are stepping up to meet their burgeoning fan base.

SUPPORT FROM SOUND OF THE SIRENS AND FLATS & SHARPS

Sound of the Sirens
‘Three girls, two guitars, one stomp box’

Formed in late 2009, Sound of The Sirens is a tale of serendipity, friendship and talent. Abbe and Lisa, friends from school, met Hannah met while working in a night club and immediately formed a drinking club. Singing their way home after a night’s working/drinking, they realised that they had a unique blend of voices and naturally harmonised with each other. They decided to form a band and the rest, as they say, is history!

Flats & Sharps

Flats and Sharps may be one of newest names on the British Bluegrass/Folk scene… Oh but what a band! They started to make a name for themselves while buskin’ in Penzance in Cornwall. They play bluegrass for the love of it and thrill audiences with their harmonies and the way they engage with them. Their aim is ‘to put a smile on your face, get your toes a tappin’ and make you feel good’.
