Part of ‘A Message From…’ live music series

Featuring:

Billy Bottle – Keys/Vocals
Martine Waltier – Vocals/Violin
Vivien Goodwin Darke – Flute
Roz Harding – Saxes
Jim Rintoul – Basses
Coach York – Drums

Burrowing in the depths of Devon, England, Billy Bottle ran away from the circus to work with Canterbury organ figurehead, Caravan’s Dave Sinclair. Pianist for Brit Jazz legend, Mike Westbrook, and steeped in the folk scene, Billy blends a love of improvisation with song forms.

His musical partner is the vocalist, violinist and songwriter, Martine Waltier, whose soulful voice combines honesty and warmth.

Together, they will be joined by The Multiple, including the graceful flute of Vivien Goodwin-Darke, the stomping trombone of Angus Menter and the outrageously daring sax of Roz Harding. On bass is Jim Rintoul who can be found plucking his stuff alongside the percussive wonders of Coach York.

Tickets in advance £12 (£6 Mu/NUS card), on the door £10 (£5 MU/NUS)
