Croydon Male Voice Choir
Croydon Male Voice Choir, known throughout the Home Counties for choral excellence, will be holding a concert at the South Street Baptist Church, Exeter on Friday 6th July at 7.30pm.
CMVC, singing under the baton of Musical Director Richard Hoyle, will be over 50 members strong and will sing an eclectic selection from the wide repertoire of music for which the choir is noted. They have performed in venues ranging from village halls and country churches up to some of the best concert halls in the country such as London’s Festival and Albert Halls and the Fairfield Halls in their native Croydon. Venturing further afield, CMVC has competed in Cornwall, Yorkshire, Devon and Wales as well as touring in Europe.
The concert will also feature the soloist Darren Wilkins whose fine flute playing will add an extra dimension to the evening’s enjoyment. He is also an accomplished, pianist, violinist and piccolo player. He has performed as a recital flautist in a range of venues in England and Wales and also plays as a soloist at CMVC concerts. He has directed other male vocal ensembles.
Entrance fee is £7 tickets available on the door.
Croydon Male Voice Choir will also perform a lunchtime recital in Exeter Cathedral from 12 noon on Saturday 7th July.
