Legendary folk-rock troubadour Donovan came to prominence over 50 years ago. His eclectic and distinctive style which drew from jazz, pop, psychedelia and world music were displayed on hits like 'Catch The Wind' (for which he won an Ivor Novello Award), 'Colours', 'Sunshine Superman' and 'Mellow Yellow', among others. He famously taught John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison to finger pick the guitar on their famous trip to India to study Transcendental Meditation, while other artists who have cited him as an influence include Led Zepplin and Belle and Sebastian.
Donovan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014.
