The first concert organised by St Peter's Music Society in Budleigh Salterton in 2015 is a recital of music for harp, to be given by Elizabeth-Jane Baldry who lives in Devon. Elizabeth-Jane Baldry will give a recital taking her audience on an entertaining journey through the history of harp music, performing captivating harp solos from five centuries. Elizabeth-Jane is also the world’s silent film accompanist on harp.

“It is hard to say just which was more pleasurable – the exquisite playing or the often deliciously outrageous stories of composer’s lives that Elizabeth-Jane recounted in between the music” Bath Chronicle.

Elizabth-Jane studied at Exeter University and the Royal College of Music and is described by the Professor of Harp at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as "She is a great artist - she can draw more tone colours from the instrument than any other harpist living in the world today." She is also the only silent movie harpist in the world today. Her programme is a delightful selection of music from the 14th Century until today.

This will be a marvellous evening of fine music.
