In an age of growing awareness of climate justice, Exeter Festival chorus presents an innovative musical evening telling the story of The Creation at Exeter Cathedral.  Andrea Brown, Exeter Festival Chorus’ music director has devised a programme using Haydn’s The Creation and associated music, celebrating the natural world, and reminding us all of our environmental responsibilities

In this concert Exeter Festival Chorus are delighted to be working with:
Devon Youth Chamber Orchestra, Devon Youth Choir and Exeter Primary Schools.

The arts have long been a wonderful way to educate and engage children and adults alike in enlarging their horizons and so in collaboration with Devon Music Education Hub and with participation by local schoolchildren, this project offers a musical platform for educating us all in the benefits of nature and the environment.
Combining a unique set of musical forces, professional and amateur, adult and children, vocal and instrumental, we hope to build and inspire future talent to contribute to Exeter’s cultural heritage for years to come.

Running time approximately 1 hour 50 minutes plus a 20-minute interval. Interval refreshments are available.

Retiring collection for Eden Project, Cornwall.
