The Springfields jointly and severally. were probably responsible for more hit records than any other British group apart from The Beatles' The Penguin Encyclopedia of Popular Music

Mike Hurst is one third of the original Springfields vocal group, alongside Dusty and Tom Springfield. They were the first British vocal group to have a Top 20 American chart hit in 1962, and the top group in the UK in 1961, 1962 and 1963, voted for by the NME readers ( The Beatles were best newcomers that last year).

The Springfields were internationally famous, with hits around the World. They’re final performance in October 1963 was Sunday Night At The London Palladium before an estimated audience of 20 million.

Dusty then became a huge international star in her own right with 18 hit records and Tom went on to write and produce 12 hits for Australian group The Seekers.

Mike, after a brief spell with his own band, including Jimmy Page and Albert Lee, became one of the most successful British independent record producers of the 20th Century, producing hits with stars as diverse as Cat Stevens, The Move, The Spencer Davies Group, Manfred Mann, Cilla Black, New World, Showaddywaddy and Shakin’ Stevens amongst others, totalling 51 hits.

So watch out for the re-formed Springfields, Mike Hurst, Alice Pitt-Carter, and Andy Marlowand come and see them perform the hits you remember.......they have 80 to choose from!
