Paul Morgan is the Organist Emeritus of Exeter Cathedral. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London and at Christ Church, Oxford where he was Organ Scholar. He moved to Exeter in 1969 as Assistant Organist under Lionel Dakers and was appointed Organist in 1999. Until its closure, Paul was a Lecturer in the Music Department of the University of Exeter and, for twenty years, Organs Adviser to the Exeter Diocesan Advisory Committee. His numerous organ recitals have mostly been in the West Country, but he has also given a number of recitals overseas. He has broadcast for the BBC and several commercial recordings have been issued of him playing the organ in Exeter Cathedral. He retired in 2010 but remains closely linked with the cathedral by his appointment as a Lay Canon.
