SynthWest presents SynthWest II, another great evening of fine electronica, taking place at Voodoo Lounge, Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Exeter, EX4 3LS featuring LLDC, Shelter and Vile Electrodes.

After the success of the inaugural show in Oct 2014 at Casa Maroc in Exeter, SynthWest is proud to return with a second live show, Synthwest II will bring together three more of the best contemporary acts in the electronic scene.

Local band LLDC, comprised of Ex Londoner, bass player and DJ - Dubb Clown and Exeter based electronica singer songwriter - Lou Latham, have come together to form the South West’s most exciting new dance act. Combining Dubb’s beats and live bass with Lou’s raw, ethereal lyrics and song writing sensibility has created a sound equally at home rocking the dance-floor of the areas clubs whilst finding a home on some of the South West’s key tastemaker radio shows - Riviera FM, Phonic FM and BBC introducing South West. An early reviewer said it sounds like JUSTICE and MSTRKRFT took Massive attack and Lana Del Rey to the pub and this was the result! Both phonic FM and Riviera FM have played new tracks from the duo as they continue to develop a unique crossover sound.

Shelter hailing from Cardiff are a song-writing, production & remixing duo consisting of Mark R Bebb (vocals, lyrics / songwriting & arrangement) and Rob Bradley aka DJ Jekyll (music / programming / performance / songwriting & arrangement).
Shelter started out in 1999 and since that time they have worked on numerous collaborations including writing and producing Erasure front man Andy Bell’s 3rd solo album 'iPop'. While recording the 'iPop' album they had the opportunity to work with Vince Clarke on a remix of an album track.  Since the release, the single ‘Beautiful’ from iPop has made the playlist on Danish radio.
Shelter released their debut album ‘Emerge’ in November of last year, featuring 17 tracks taking listeners on a retro-electro journey from the 1980’s through to the modern day.
Shelter completed a triumphant eight date stint as support on 'Erasure's' 2014 Violet Flame tour with gigs in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Cologne, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Aarhus and Copenhagen.
2015 is already turning out to be an exciting year for Shelter. January saw the release of their collaborative single ‘Connected (put your hands up)' featuring internet sensation Neil Francis, to be followed up with the last single to be taken from the ‘Emerge’ album, ‘With U’ featuring Frankmusik. They are currently writing and recording the follow up to their debut album.

East Sussex based Vile Electrodes headline the show and we will leave a summary of the band to their own fair hand -
“We initially formed through a mutual affection for early synthpop, delta blues, horror film soundtracks, rock'n'roll, miserable indie bands and an unhealthy obsession with analogue synthesizers.

We've released 4 EPs and 1 album, the latter of which took us a billion years. We've toured with OMD, as well as supporting John Foxx & The Maths, Melt Yourself Down and Michael Rother.

We are beautiful noise. Like high heels on thin ice. Whip cracks on latex. Flickering neon signs. Car crashes on concrete overpasses. Long lashes behind dark glasses.

The desire to escape reality through dressing up and dancing to pop music has always been a reason to start a band. Perhaps we can start a revolution!”
