France 1789: Revolution
Three young men and a journey of passion, hope and discovery. The revolution brings them to Plymouth, prisoners of war on the hulk ships.
Parole offers hope, but how will the peaceful town of Crediton react to the 'wretched Frenchmen'? Will this be the end of their suffering?
Based on true events binding revolutionary France and Devon, England, this is a moving and dramatic tale of love, loyalty and true identity.
First produced of Plymouth Theatre Royal's Drum Theatre in 1990, Brother Jacques went on to win two Barclay's Music Theatre Awards including 'Best New Musical'.
