Double Bill of Comedy Plays with Supper
A DOUBLE bill of comedy and supper evenings is on offer at Broadclyst Victory Hall.
Following on from the sell-out successes of Calendar Girls and this year’s pantomime Snow White, the Broadclyst Theatre Group is busy rehearsing two One-Act comedy plays.
“This will be a lovely relaxing evening, full of laughter, fun and food,” said the group’s spokeswoman Liz Straw. “Our previous comedy play evenings have proved very popular, so book early.”
Two Fat Men features Duncan and George who have been forced by their wives to attend Weight Busters. Surrounded by women and waiting for the meeting to start they think that they know each other. Join them on a hilarious journey of discovery.
Stop and Run is the story of Eileen, a lonely pensioner who, much to the horror of her family finds love at a holiday camp bingo hall. This is a touching comedy drama which reminds us about the importance of family.
The plays take place at Broadclyst Victory Hall, at 7.30pm on Friday 28th March and Saturday 29th March. Tickets £9 (adult) £6 (under 14) from Broadclyst Post Office and online comedyplays.ticketsource.co.uk Box office 01392 464696.
