Impisi Run By CEDA
Welcome to the South African savannah, where an unlikely friendship between a bold young lion and an insightful hyena tells a tale of acceptance, courage and strength in the face of adversity.
Impisi is a play that addresses important issues around prejudice, bullying, disability and difference, delivering a powerful message of acceptance.
Impisi is the first community theatre project being run by CEDA, a Devon based charity organisation providing opportunities for disabled adults and young people. Written and adapted for CEDA by local artist Clive Essame, the Impisi project has engaged a professional theatre director Anthony Richards to oversee the project where disabled actors will work with disabled artists and musicians to create a unique piece of theatre.
Expect a mixture of live action, animation and unique soundtrack performed using specially adapted equipment by performers with a range of abilities. More about CEDA and their work can be found online at Ceda Online: http://www.cedaonline.org.uk/
