Join us in our journey as we bridge the mystery and mystique of the Orient with the might and majesty of the Occident in this first of its kind theatre production to hit the UK, right here in the heart of Exeter.

From the ancient traditions of the truly refined and thought provoking depth discovered in Classical Indian Raga, featuring many of our favourite instruments such as Sitar, Tabla and Surbahar, the feminine grace of Odissi Indian Temple Dance, the strong lines, elaborate footwork and hand mudras of Bharatanatyam Indian Classical Dance and the trance inducing whirling of Persian Classical Court Dancers to the innovative, world-class modern fusion stylisations marrying temple dances to Bellydance and Raga fusion to western musical concept; inspiring collaborations in between.

Featuring internationally acclaimed artists from 5 different countries, ranging from the U.S.A to Iran and Germany, with the very best in the field of our UK and local talents, the show is set to be a spectacle to remember.

Our Audience can expect to witness the sinuous, serpentine coiling of Tribal Fusion Bellydance, the bounce and vigour of Bollywood and Khalbelia Gypsy Dance of Rajasthan, India and even the authentic yet modern sisterhood tribal spirit of American Tribal Style Bellydance with its strong influences from Spanish Flamenco to Bedouin and Egyptian Gawazee tribal dances.

This is the not to be missed Devon arts show of the year!

8:00pm – 10:00pm with intermission, bar, and souk stalls with authentic tribal and fusion jewellery, costuming, clothing, arts and crafts, professional photography, Henna Mendhi and Indian Bridal make up booth to be found in the Clifford Room.

***all dance styles featured have corresponding workshops open to the public. Please see www.kamatala.co.uk for more information. Individual workshops available upon request.**
