Metta Theatre in association with the Bikeshed Theatre present Arab Nights by Hassan Abdulrazzak, Chirine El Ansary, Ghalia Kabbani, Tania El Khoury, Raja Shehadeh and Anonymous

Shahrazad needs to survive for just one more night. Can her stories save her? The audience must decide – after each story – if she lives or dies.

An Arabian Nights for a modern age, Metta Theatre rides the wave of change currently breaking across the Middle-East with this compelling collection of short plays responding to the Arab Revolutions by writers from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria.

Exploding with vivid story-telling, live music and puppetry, Arab Nights features diabolical djinnis, 1,000 perfect plastic dolls on the banks of the Nile, a modern-day Sindbad and a shoe-obsessed dictator’s wife...

Supported by Arts Council England and PRS for Music Foundation.
