The Old Guy in the Garage Productions: Daniel's Demons
They say everyone has their demons, just not everyone’s are called Graham and Trevor.
Daniel's Demons, a new comedy, is the story of a loving, accepting family with an alternative view of normality.
The first half explores the relationship between Daniel's parents and their meeting in Northern Ireland, then focuses on Daniel as a teenager, his bond with his father and the humour between them. The second part looks at loss and how Daniel questions his grasp of reality - enter the 'demons' - and the use of humour as a coping mechanism for Daniel and those who share his circumstances.
Although based on practical experience in mental health, the characters take therapy to a level not, as yet, available on the NHS - or anywhere else for that matter.
