This exciting new production sets W.S Gilbert’s libretto and Sir Arthur Sullivan’s beloved score in the Edwardian era amid a backdrop of suffragette unrest. On the appointed day however, her father arrives to inform the Prince that she has defied his orders and run away to start a university exclusively for women. Hilarion, with the help of his friends, embarks upon a quest to infiltrate the University and win his wife back. Ida – now a leader in the suffragette movement – must choose between her family, Hilarion, and her freedom.Join us for an evening of incredible music, dramatic staging, and a compelling story that encompasses battles of love, duty, gender, and power.
