Richard Alston Dance Company
This outstanding company make their last visit to Exeter, celebrating 25 years with a terrific programme, packed with new work.
Brand new is Alston’s Shine On, to the song cycle by Britten and Auden On This Island (singer Katherine McIndoe, pianist Jason Ridgway); the recent Voices and Light Footsteps is inspired by the glorious Madrigals and Sinfonias of Monteverdi; A Far Cry by Martin Lawrance to an impassioned piece by Edward Elgar and the hugely popular Brahms Hungarian is back again.
The company are excited to be back – and don’t miss them because once they’re gone, they’re really gone!
“Arguably it’s one of the finest works 70-year-old Alston has created.” ⋆⋆⋆⋆
