Ashfords helps boost bee numbers
Ashfords people are taking up bee keeping in a bid to help the national initiative to protect bees and boost their population
As part of Ashfords' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, it is hoped the new Ashfords' bee colony will thrive, and help pollinate flowers and shrubs in the area around the Sowton Industrial Estate.
Ashfords is currently trialling the "bee initiative" at its headquarters in Exeter, with the aim of expanding this idea to its other offices across the country.
This initiative is fundamental to Ashfords' CSR programme which is focussed on supporting the communities around its offices and making huge steps to make its business as environmentally sustainable as possible. .
Elizabeth Gibson, partner and who leads the firm's CSR programme said: "This is a wonderful initiative which our people came up with and which our CSR Focus Group was really keen to support.
"Our aim is do our part to help the various national campaigns to keep the UK's bees alive and thriving. We very proud to welcome our new tenants and hope in the future to be giving our clients a pot of our own Ashfords' honey".
