Gold for the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink at the Devon Tourism Awards
The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink has won gold in the Tourism Event of the Year category of the 2013 Devon Tourism Awards.
After the awards ceremony, which was held in Torquay last week, Michael Caines MBE, tweeted: “Great result after 10 years, a great achievement for all involved!”
This year saw stiff competition with an increase to over 100 entries from the cream of the Devon tourism industry, with 44 businesses selected as finalists, each winning either Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended awards.
Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink 2014 runs from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 April in Exeter Castle and Northernhay Gardens. The three-day festival celebrates the outstanding food and drink of the South West, featuring more than one hundred regional producers, top chefs, workshops, live music and food-themed activities for all the family.
Entering its second decade buoyed by the accolade of this prestigious award, the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink has become a firm fixture for all foodies in the region.
The festival is supported by Exeter City Council, and is a not for profit event.
