Coaching Focus, a consultancy dedicated to enhancing the performance of people and their organisations by helping them foster a coaching mindset, is growing from strength to strength, with the news of a new senior executive hire and office move.

The Exeter-based business, founded by Trayton Vance, has recently announced the appointment of retired Senior British Army Officer, Ivan Jones, who will be joining as a Senior Partner. Jones, who spent over 33 years’ serving in the Armed Forces, brings with him a wealth of experience in delivering large organisational transformation, which has seen him lead over 80,000 people and implement programmes of empowerment, agility, and innovation within the Army, for which a coaching culture was crucial.

Ivan Jones, commented on his appointment: “I am incredibly excited to be joining Coaching Focus at such an exciting time in the company’s journey. The business is determined to help organisations create a coaching culture, drive personal development, improve performance and meet business goals. We call this ‘coaching for a better tomorrow’ and a way of democratising coaching, where everyone in an organisation knows how to coach and be coached.”

Along with the new senior hire, Coaching Focus has also recently moved to new offices in the Pynes Hill Business Centre in Exeter. With the business looking to grow its team by 200% in the 12 months, new offices were key to match the ambitious plans set out by the business. The consultancy has previously with household names including, McDonalds, Tesco, NHS, and East Midlands Council among many others.

Trayton Vance, CEO & Founder of Coaching Focus, said: “It has been an extraordinary 12 months for us, with the business and our portfolio of clients continuing to grow. We are delighted to welcome Ivan to the organisation and know that his wealth of experience in delivering large-scale organisational change programmes will allow us to further meet the needs of our clients.

“This will be the first of what we hope to be many new hires over the next year, as we look to grow the business by over 120% in revenue. These growth plans, both financially and in terms of personnel are why we have taken the decision to move to much bigger offices in Exeter.”

While the business celebrates its move to a new HQ, the old offices will be retained and converted into studios, used for conducting their coaching and training programmes.

A key pillar of the Coaching Focus offering is helping to nurture businesses in becoming more sustainable, as organisations need to develop and deliver against ESG goals. Coaching Focus are also developing their sustainability credentials, currently in the process of securing BCorp certification.
