Change afoot at Tickety-Boo
Tickety-Boo in Ottery St Mary has welcomed a new front of house manager to the team.
Zoe Blackmore has taken the reins at the coffee shop and children’s play kingdom in Mill Street after Jane North decided to return to her previous role as a Teaching Assistant.
Zoe, from Ottery, has been working at Tickety-Boo part time since it opened. She brings with her a wealth of experience including a 15-year stint at the Tesco staff canteen, where she was Team Leader, and is well known locally as she has also worked at the Kings Arms.
Another welcome addition to the front of house team is Cheryl Mabin. Cheryl’s background includes 14 years at the Disney Store in Plymouth, as well as being manager of a branch of St Luke’s Hospice. Cheryl is also a ‘local lass’.
Chef Dave Goldthorpe said: “It’s a pleasure to have Zoe on board as our front of house manager. She’s already learned the ropes so she knows what’s involved – lots of hard work and dedication!
“We will all miss Jane who steered us brilliantly through the opening stages of the business - but we know she’ll be popping in from time to time for her coffee fix.”
After opening in August this year, Tickety-Boo has been an incredible success story for the town, and is a popular destination for parents of young children who love thecreative play area, as well as other customers who enjoy the delicious homecooked fare on offer.
Dave recently run his first pop-up restaurant at the premises. The five-course Thai night on October 1 was a runaway success with diners clamouring for another event soon.
