Record-breaking year for Exeter Round Table fireworks display

The 38th annual charity event was a huge success attracting a crowd of over 8600 visitors and smashing all records by raising £32,000 for local good causes and charities.

Matt Church, Event lead organiser said: “We are extremely proud of the event and would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts in making this occasion such a success. I am thrilled for the club [Exeter Round Table] that we have managed to raise so much this year. Our members are all volunteers and this is a real credit to them".

50% of all money raised goes directly to Devon Air Ambulance, the remainder is distributed to local good causes and charities. In the last 5 years Exeter Round Table has donated over £75,000 locally to recipients such as Vranch House, MIND, Hospice Care, St Loye's and St Petrocks.

Fundraising Director Caroline Creer of Devon Air Ambulance, who will receive half of the proceeds, said: “It’s fabulous that so many people turned out to support this excellent event, every year it’s spectacular and we are so grateful to have once again been involved. We look forward to working with Exeter Round Table again next year and help continue make the Fireworks a great success.”
