Bishop's Move stores poppies at Exeter warehouse for British Legion North Devon

Bishop’s Move Exeter, part of the UK’s largest family owned removal company, are storing British Legion poppies to support the Armed Forces community, past and present in the Devon and Cornwall area.

When Bishop’s Move Exeter Manager, Mark Neave was approached by the British Legion to help regarding the storage of poppies for the British Legion Poppy Appeal, he couldn’t have been happier to assist.

Bishop’s Move are providing indefinite courtesy storage for the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal stock at their warehouse located in the Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter. Due to commence around the 11th December, Bishop’s Move are also happy to look to assist with bringing the poppy stock into their warehouse as required.

Claudia Kelly, British Legion Community Fundraiser Devon North comments: “I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Bishop’s Move for giving us the opportunity to use free storage at their site in Sowton, Exeter. This is a great help to those Poppy Appeal Organisers who do not have the room at home to store all their much-needed stock for the Appeal and will be a huge saving. Support like this is invaluable and we are grateful for the help they have so generously given. Thank you again to Bishops Move.”

Founded in 1921, the legion provides essential financial, social and emotional support to currently nearly 10.5 million armed forces serving men, women, veterans and their families. The first Poppy Appeal was held that year, with the first Poppy Day on 11 November 1921 and continues today to ensure that the ex-service community voice does not go unheard.
