DCET apprentices celebrate success!
A record number of Electrical Apprentices have completed their Electrical Apprenticeship with DCET training, part of The Focus Training Group.
To mark their achievement, a number of the new electricians attended a presentation ceremony at the Devon Hotel where they were joined by their family and friends.
The legendary Tony Cable of the NICEIC, presented certificates to the achieving electricians and passed on words of encouragement as they start the next step of their journey within the industry.
We were also privileged to be joined by a number of employers who were acknowledged for their commitment and support throughout their learner’s qualification. Bernard Collins, DCET’s Curriculum Manager, said: "These learners have worked really hard and truly deserve their success.
"We are proud to be entrusted with training these individuals on behalf of their respective companies and to be a part of an industry which truly realises the value of investing in the future."
Tony Cable said: "I have been coming to DCET Training for many years to present the prizes and as usual I met a great bunch of lads. It’s the end of a four year apprenticeship and all the lads will be great sparks in the future.
With the excellent training they get from the DCET team coupled with their on-site experience they are very ready for the world of the electrical industry. However, as I said to them, to progress they will need to think that this is the beginning of their training and they will constantly need to up skill in our ever progressing fast moving industry.
"Sadly this will be the last time I will present the prizes as I am retiring, but I know the future is in good hands for all the guys and girls that are trained at DCET."
DCET are in the process of signing up the next cohort of electrical apprentices. For more information please contact Shelly Wright on 01752 348980.
