Clarity, the eighth largest travel management company (TMC) in the UK, with a turnover in excess of £400m, has appointed Exeter-based SITU as its first-ever global provider of serviced apartments for corporate accommodation.

With properties in over 500 locations globally, SITU gives Clarity’s customers access to one of the largest portfolios of serviced apartments and corporate housing solutions internationally.

Working with SITU’s experienced advisors, Clarity’s team is able to identify accommodation by preferred location, size, price and availability, producing a range of apartments and corporate housing options centred on their clients’ locations of choice, requirements, budget, and length of stay.

SITU’s online request platform and technology is due to be integrated with Clarity’s market leading online booking tool, Go2Book, in 2018 via a bespoke extranet solution designed to enhance the accuracy and speed of bookings for Clarity’s clients.

Commenting on SITU’s appointment Suzanne Barnes, Product Manager at Clarity, said: “Over the years, we have enjoyed great success and recognition through investment in technology, innovation and a modern, fresh approach to doing business.  SITU’s core values are closely aligned with ours, they have an exceptional choice of properties in their portfolio and they, like us, focus on service excellence and cutting-edge technology.  For Clarity, our preferred serviced accommodation partner had to live up to these standards, and I’m very pleased to say that SITU delivers on every front.”

Barnes added: “In addition to its impressive portfolio and international accommodation coverage, SITU adopts strict levels of due diligence, which ensures that all properties within its portfolio comply with domestic regulations relevant to each country.  It also specialises in creating bespoke solutions when and where they are needed.  That includes sourcing and creating corporate housing solutions in locations where stock may be scarce or even non-existent.  This agility gives our end customers confidence that whatever their accommodation need, we are in the best position to deliver it for them.”

Commenting on SITU’s appointment, Managing Director Phil Stapleton, said: “We’ve worked with the team at Clarity for some time, and we are exceptionally proud to become the first preferred partner for their global serviced apartment and corporate accommodation requirements.

“As part of our relationship, our team has spent three months delivering training sessions to branches of Clarity across the UK and Ireland, so that their advisers know when serviced apartments and corporate housing offer best value, heightened client satisfaction and enhanced productivity for their customers, compared to other forms of accommodation, such as hotels.

“Over the coming months we will not only create a bespoke platform that integrates with Clarity’s booking tool, but we will also create an online portal that will enable their staff to become accredited SITU bookers, supporting Clarity’s commitment to mentoring the next generation of business travel experts, as enshrined in The Clarity Academy.”

Predominately focused on providing corporate long stay accommodation solutions, SITU’s client-centred approach and delivery of bespoke technology solutions has resulted in the business becoming one of the fastest growing companies in the sector.  An award-winning, multi-accredited*, serviced apartments provider, SITU specialises in providing properties for stays of three nights or longer in over 500 locations internationally.  Last year alone, SITU managed over 25,000 bookings for clients in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Oceana as well as in Africa.
