Devon and Cornwall’s largest professional construction consultancy has opened its fifth UK office at Pynes Hill in Exeter.

This signals further expansion for the company, which has already grown its existing offices to capture the increase in construction output over the last 18 months.

Ward Williams Associates (WWA), who celebrated their 40th birthday last year, deliver services across a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors, with a project portfolio extending from modest domestic works, through to multi-million pound, international developments.

Andy Snapes, Managing Director, said; “The key to our success has been long term client relationships and the consistent, high quality service that we provide.

“We have the most talented and dedicated staff, who provide sound professional advice, based on extensive knowledge of current practices and an in-depth understanding of the local marketplace”.

WWA have been based in Devon since the company was founded and in 2011 they moved to their current location at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth to accommodate their expanding team. The strategic move to add an Exeter office aims to capture more opportunities across Exeter, North Devon, Taunton and Torbay.

Over recent years WWA have already worked on a number of local projects including the Premier Inn and Green Tree Court Care Home in Exeter, Atlantic Park in Bideford, Torquay Girls School and Somerset County Cricket Club.

Jonathan Sharp has relocated from the Truro office to head up the business in Exeter, bringing with him a wealth of experience across a variety of sectors and disciplines. He will be joined by new appointment Rachel Price who prior to joining WWA, worked for an international consultancy based in the South West.

Jonathan commented; “I am delighted to be heading up our new Exeter office, to drive growth and opportunities in the area. We are already working on a number of prestigious schemes in Devon including the Plymouth History Centre, Seaton Jurassic Project and the new spa development for Boringdon Hall Hotel.

“We have seen the Plymouth office go from strength to strength in recent years and we hope to replicate this success across the rest of Devon and beyond”.

Jonathan and Rachel are active in the professional community, with Jonathan sitting on the RICS board for the South West and is also an APC Doctor, mentoring surveyors through the chartership process. Rachel is also training to become a RICS Assessor for the Project Management discipline.
